About Chefsbar Vondels
Chefsbar Vondels opened last winter on the Croeselaan in Utrecht and has been growing fast ever since. We are a young team under construction, working every day to establish a strong signature of our own. The open kitchen and lively bar are the beating heart of the place: welcoming, culinary and quirky – a place for the city and the neighborhood.
About the position
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be an important lynchpin in the kitchen. You will support the chefs, monitor quality and ensure that service runs smoothly. At the same time, we are looking for someone with the knowledge, confidence and abilities – in the absence of the chefs – to independently run the kitchen during evenings.
So not only are you given responsibility, you must be willing to take it.
You are someone who:
- Has experience in a professional kitchen (preferably as Chef de Partie or similar)
- Can work independently and is strong in organization and overview
- Able to run a service independently when needed
- Quality, taste and consistency always paramount
- Takes initiative and enjoys thinking about map development
- Bringing energy and contributing to a growing team
